Indian Creek makes 50-9 run, wins big



Indian Creek got off to a slow start against Alden-Hebron Thursday night, but went on a 50-9 first-half run to move to 2-0 with a 64-32 win. Lindsay Richardson had a nice all-around game with a game-high 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and six steals. Stephanie Arends scored 19 points to surpass Kara Boston (2004) as the school's all-time scoring leader.

Rosary 42, Glenbard North 30 — Victoria Alvarez scored 13 points to lead the Royals (2-0) while Faith Jones and Colleen Van Bogaert added nine points each.

Hinckley-Big Rock 67, Sandwich 34 — Jenna Thorp paced H-BR with 20 points and eight rebounds, Melissa Herrman added 17 points while Ashley Meyer chipped in with nine points and eight boards.

Rolling Meadows 55, East Aurora 34 — Felicia Mercado led the way for East with 21 points.

Men's basketball


Waubonsee 74, Triton 68 — Kermit Delashment led three Waubonsee players in double figures with 25 points as the Chiefs moved to 5-1 on the season. Andrae Lyles added 17 points for Waubonsee and Johnny Walker tossed in 15. The Chiefs trailed by 13 at the half but held Trito to just 23 second-half points.
