Ridgewood boys post easy road victory
DUNBAR, Wis. — The Ridgewood Baptist Academy boys basketball team had little difficulty in its opener on Thursday.
The Rams began their season with an 87-43 win over Fellowship Christian from Carson City, Mich.
Center Matt Hicks had 23 points and 9 rebounds for the Rams (1-0). Robby Lyons had 14 points and Zac Menard scored 12. Ethan McCammack also scored 12. Brad Snyder dished out 12 assists.
Ridgewood plays Olathe Christian (Kan.) at 5 p.m. today in the semifinals.
Doud strikes again — Tom Doud, owner and proprietor of Channahon Lanes and Riverfront Lanes, bowled his sixth career 300 game in the Mid-Week Mixers League Wednesday at Channahon Lanes.
Doud, a resident of Plainfield, had games of 184, 300 and 199 for a 683 series. He entered with a 215 average.
Bolingbrook 1,922, Lincoln-Way Central 1,915 — Kyle Madeja had a 435 series with games of 235 and 200. Greg Davison had a 417 series (232-185) and Eric Tobbe had a 363 (214-149). Matt Davison shot a 357 (190-167) and David Banks had a 350 (190-160).
Central's Eddie Cetwinski had a high series of 469 with games of 249 and 220. Mike Kozlowski had games of 198 and 232 for a 430.
Plainfield Central 3,019, Minooka 2,958 — Brandon Larson paced Minooka (1-1, 0-1) with a high series of 688. He had games of 245, 238 and 205. Chris Ruffino shot a 646 (193-214-239). Jesse Wason had a 578 (212-200-166) and Robert Krumlinde had a 501 (160-205-136).
Lincoln-Way East 2,903, Plainfield North 2,553 — Nathan Stancek had a 656 series with games of 244 and 245. Alex Sessa had a 637 series with 232 and 208 games.
